Picasso PVC Floatline 8 mm

The Picasso PVC Floatline 8 mm is a buoyant connection line for linking a speargun or breakaway system to a surface float. Its clear PVC outer tube creates a smooth, low-drag exterior, while the internal Dyneema line provides the load-bearing core.

Because the line remains at the surface rather than sinking toward rocks, reef or the seabed, it is less likely to snag below the diver. The smooth tubular jacket also passes cleanly through the water and is easier to handle than an exposed or heavily textured rope, helping reduce twisting and tangling during deployment and recovery.

How the construction works

The PVC tube supplies buoyancy and shields the internal line, while the 2.5 mm Dyneema core maintains a continuous high-strength connection through the assembly. The Orca clips allow quick attachment to a float, speargun or breakaway component, and the swivel helps prevent accumulated twist as the rig moves in current or swell.

Select the length according to the separation required between the diver and surface float. Rinse the line and metal fittings in fresh water after use. Inspect the PVC, crimps, heat-shrink and clips regularly, and replace the line if any cut, flattening or core damage is found.
